I. What are client GROUPS and TYPES?
In Matchpoint, you can classify your clients into two main categories:
- Groups: A client can belong to one or more groups, and you can set specific dates for their group membership.
- Types: Each client can belong to only one client type.
These categories are useful for applying to them a special pricing or specific booking policies.
II. How to create client Groups and Types?
- Go to Customers > Customers > Groups or Customers > Customers > Customer Type, depending on the category you wish to create.
- Create a new Category.
a. Click the New button.
b. Assign a name 🔎e.g., "VIP Members" or "Students".
c. Write a brief description to identify the category.
III. Assigning categories to your clients
Once you have created a category, follow these steps to assign it:
Assigning groups:
- Find the client: Go to Customers > Customers > Customers, or use the quick search icon.
- Access the client profile: Click on the desired client.
- In the General section, click "Assign Group".
- Select the group you want to add the client to.
- If necessary, specify the validity dates for this assignment.
- Update the information: Click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
Assigning Types:
- Find the client: Go to Customers > Customers > Customers, or use the quick search icon.
- Access the client profile: Click on the desired client.
- In the Additional Information > Management section, select the desired client type from the drop-down menu.
- Update the information: Click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
IV. How to filter and locate clients by category
If you need to find clients belonging to a specific group or type:
- Access the client list: Go to Customers > Customers > Customers.
- Use the search filters: select the group or client type from the available filters. Apply the filters to view the results.
This way you can quickly identify clients belonging to a specific category and optimise your management.
