Hello, how can we help you today?

Introduction to the Booking module

  • Updated

Welcome to the course on Booking Management in Matchpoint.

Throughout this module, you’ll learn how to efficiently manage the reservation system—from creating and handling bookings to setting policies and using the Play! system.

This module is part of the basic level, so no previous knowledge of the software is required. We’ll guide you step by step so you can gain confidence using it.

✅ In this first lesson, you’ll learn the different ways to manage and view reservations in Matchpoint. You’ll also see how to quickly and easily access key information for each booking.

✅ You'll learn how to set up and use the internal reservation grid, as well as the different types of bookings available in Matchpoint.

✅ You'll discover how to configure the reservation grid that clients see on the website and app, customizing its appearance and functionality.

✅ You'll learn to set booking rules based on client types, including limits and restrictions.

✅ You’ll understand how open matches and the Play! System work—this feature allows players to join games and compete in rankings.

Reservations can be managed from two areas:

  • From the management system
  • From the website or app

From the management software, we use two main tools:

  • Booking Grid: Displays bookings by day or by court, using color codes to indicate the type
  • Booking Manager: Lets you search for specific bookings, including canceled ones, using filters like booking number, client, resource, or locator code

To easily view reservations, you can use the Booking grid, which displays them by day or by court, with color indicators for each type.
If you prefer a list view—especially useful for reviewing cancelled reservations (which aren’t shown in the grid)—go to:
Planning > Reservations > Booking Manager

You can filter results using the arrow icon, with several search options:

  • Booking number
  • Client
  • Resource
  • Locator

You can also check if the booking has been charged, cancelled, or edited.
